Painter Sarah Walker’s childhood was spent on the move from region to region of the United States as the child of a scientist involved first with neurochemistry then with the field of psychiatry. A fascination with mental space and it’s objects, memory and how we hold onto things came into being from this time and generates the terms for Walker’s multi-layered abstractions today. Her work has been shown in New York at Pierogi Gallery as well as galleries and museums throughout this country and abroad. View her website here: www.sarahwalker.org.
